To mark the festival’s 30th anniversary, we’re going back to where it all began: Valdres Folk Museum in Fagernes. Over the weekend of 11th–13th September, there’ll be a grand celebration of the tradition, community and unique sound that have brought together Jew’s harp enthusiasts from both in- and outside Norway for the past three decades.
As always, the programme will include Jew’s harp workshops for everyone from absolute beginners to players who are seeking inspiration and are keen to develop their technique.
This year’s artist, Naaljos Ljom from Stavanger, will be adding a bit of spice to the anniversary celebrations. Duo Anders Hana and Morten Joh are famed for their driving, hypnotic music. Check them out in this episode of NRK-scenen.
More information about the programme will be announced later but one thing’s already certain: This will be a weekend full of music, inspiration, and meetings with acquaintances old and new.
